We are striving to be creative and innovative in our instruction to engage students in their learning through a variety of STEAM activities, applications of technology, and 21st Century skills."

OUR PROGRAMS

Toddlers

Our Toddler class is your child’s introduction to school and we are determined to make a wonderful first impression with engaging play centers that foster learning. We provide two programs for our little learners; a half-day and a full day.

Nursery School

The Nursery School program includes Nursery 1 to Kindergarten/Nursery 3 (age 5). We provide two programs for our little learners; a half-day and a full day.

Primary School

The primary program currently runs from Grade 1 to Grade 6.

Does Iwacu Academy hire qualified staff?

Yes. Iwacu Academy hires staff members that have education and experience in early childhood education. Check out our

What is the teacher-to-child ratios?

We maintain a low teacher-to-child ratio to ensure each child receives individualized attention and care.

What time does the school open and close?

Iwacu Academy opens at 8:00 am and closes at 5:00 pm Monday - Thursday. On Fridays we open at 8:00 am and close at 3:pm.

Are snacks provided?

Yes, we provide nutritious snacks 2 time a day. Our snacks are carefully selected to meet dietary needs and preferences, and we accommodate any allergies or dietary restrictions.

How can I enroll my child?

To enroll your child in nursery, please visit our enrollment page to fill out an enrollment form or contact our administrative office for assistance. We recommend scheduling a tour of our facility to see our program in action and meet our staff.

Does the school administer medication?

Medicine is administered if a consent form is provided. Medication should not be left in lunch boxes or cubbies. Medication should not be mixed in food, bottles or drinks. We do not administer fever reducers or aspirins.

Can my child bring toys from home?

Iwacu Academy kindly ask that toys and playthings remain home. Due to the number of children, we cannot be responsible for any item that is misplaced or broken.

What are the discipline procedures at the school?

The children will be encouraged to discuss their feelings of anger with the teacher and/or peers. Absolutely no physical form of punishment is allowed. We redirect undesired behavior and encourage children to “Take Some Time for Yourself” or “Cool Down” in order to settle down. Positive role modeling and encouragement of appropriate behavior is used.

What will happen in the case of an emergency?

You will be called and emailed. You will be required to come to the center as quickly as possible and take your children home. For medical emergencies your child will be taken to the nearest hospital.

Does the school celebrate birthdays?

We will be happy to celebrate your child’s birthday at the school. If you wish to bring a simple treat (cake, cookies, cupcakes, etc.) for the occasion, please make arrangements ahead of time with the office manager.
